Project North, a not-for-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of children in Canada’s North, assembled a powerful team to deliver hockey equipment to communities in the far north over the last week of April. First Air supplied the transportation, while the NHL and its partners Scotiabank and Canadian Tire (through Canadian Tire Jumpstart Charities) provided the gear: 150 full sets of hockey equipment to the communities of Kugaaruk, Taloyoak, Gjoa Haven, Cape Dorset, Hall Beach and Qikiqtarjuaq.

The Stanley Cup joined the tour, escorted by Stanley Cup Champion Lanny McDonald and CWHL star and gold medal winning Olympian Natalie Spooner, along with the Clarkson Cup.
