The Ontario city of Vaughan has formally christened its partnership webpage and opened its municipal partnership office headed by former TIFF sponsorship manager Katie Maginn. The city anticipates the program will raise $2.5 million by 2026, and will gross $1 million annually thereafter.

According to city documents, Vaughan has identified two priority targets for naming rights, venues that it believes should be attractive to the corporate community and less likely to attract public pushback: the 380-seat City Playhouse Theatre and the Vellore Village Community Centre, which attracts 630,000 visitors per year. The city has also compiled a list of secondary inventory that it believes would be suitable for naming.
