TTG Canada and its subsidiary TORQUE Strategies are staring down Alberta’s struggling economy, opening a TORQUE Strategies office in Calgary on April 3. TTG, formerly the TwentyTen Group, grew out of the sponsorship marketing team at the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics. It has since opened an office in Toronto and spun off TORQUE as its strategic and experiential marketing division.
Despite Alberta’s sagging fortunes, TTG sees Calgary as a hotbed for powerhouse sports, arts and entertainment properties, particularly in light of its decision to explore the feasibility of bidding to host the 2026 Winter Olympic Games.
The Calgary office will be led by one of TORQUE’s founders and Calgary native Peter Gardner.
